Our Organization

Todd County Development Corporation (TCDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit economic development corporation that serves all citzens of Todd County, Minnesota. Originally established in 1990, TCDC operates as a non-profit oganization assisting communities and businesses with educational, technical, financial and site selection serivces.

TCDC hosts the North Central Regional "Small Business Development Center" (SBDC) Outreach Office for Todd County and provides FREE technical services for pre-venture and established businesses.

Todd County was created on February 20, 1885 (Organized in 1873) from Cass County.  The county was named in honor of John Blair Smith Todd, commander of Fort Ripley (1849-56); general in the Civil War; delegate in Congress from Dakota Territory, 1861 and 1863-65; governor of Dakota Territory, 1869-71.
