Community Planning Builds Strength and Resiliency

Monday, June 12, 2017

If you want to reach your goals, you’d better be able to define them in the first place. That’s as true of a community as it is for a person. And that’s why planning plays a key role in successful community development. When local leaders come together to identify a common objective, their surrounding communities are almost guaranteed to grow stronger and more resilient.

The Blandin Foundation recognizes the importance of collaborative leadership and community planning, and offers a variety of programs designed to build leadership. Their Community Leadership Program, for instance, includes ongoing workshops and residential retreats designed to build leaders’ abilities to identify opportunities, tackle challenges, and collaborate effectively.
