Among the many factors that help an economy thrive, a comprehensive and intelligent approach to regional transit is key. From the transport of raw materials and finished goods to the ease of worker commutes, a varied and well-maintained transportation network allows businesses to flourish.

Here In Central Minnesota, the Region Five Development Corporation works closely with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) to support the growth of transportation in the region. Always focused on planning for the future, the Corporation’s Transportation Advisory Committee meets four times each year to organize new initiatives and address any current transportation issues—including road and highway updates, as well as initiatives to promote alternatives like cycling.
